Express Camberwell glaziers offer a complete double glazing service including a local double glazing installer, double glazing repairs and Camberwell replacement double glazing.
Double-glazed units take approximately two to three days to order, and all our units come with a manufacturers guarantee. If requested, we can replace the vacuum between the glass panes with a layer of Argon gas, to further facilitate heat management. We can also supply and install triple-glazed units on request for Camberwell and the local area.
Double Glazed Units
In the trade we say a double glazed sealed unit has broken down. This means that the perimeter edge seal has lost its integrity and that it is letting in moisture somewhere. The moisture is hard to spot at first, sometimes becoming only visible as the sun or another heat source draws the moisture up by evaporation.
Typically the moisture will be drawn in as the atmospheric pressure changes and it will build up, eventually condensing into water inside the sealed unit. This can sometimes look like a fish tank with several inches of water that cannot escape. Whether the seal has failed or the glass is broken, we will replace and re-seal all types of Double Glazed Units.
